OVER THE SUMMER RESPONSE SAFETY NETTING HAVE INSTALLED THEIR FAST, EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE SERVICE AT A NUMBER OF SCHOOLS AND LEISURE CENTRES WHERE CLOSURE WAS LIMITED TO THE 6 WEEK SCHOOL BREAK.
AS WE NEAR THE END OF THE SUMMER OUR RIGGERS HAVE MET ALL NATIONWIDE DEADLINES
AS SCHOOLS AND SPORTS CENTRES RE-OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

Response Safety Netting Ltd installs nets under Roof Lights at Winchester Tesco. Directly above the checkouts safety nets with a debris overlay are installed to ensure customers can be safe and secure whilst glazing is being covered with new reflective coatings. As a 24 hour store a swift, clean and efficient service was vital. It was achieved through constant supervision throughout the contract from Senior Contracts Manager Nick Hammond of a rigging team with a combined 15 years of netting experience.

Response Safety Netting is about to complete its work on the roof of the Woolf Construction Site, St Peter Port, Guernsey on schedule and with a recommendation for work on more of St Pete Port work. Our work on Guernsey has been based on well programmed and fast installations as both ourselves and the roofers have travelled from the mainland.

Response Safety Netting Ltd are delighted to have installed nets on of the UK’s most famous urban buildings. Work on Harrods, Knightsbridge, London and The Cube, The Mailbox, Birmingham were undertaken in March. Both contracts were placed after previous work with major city contractors who enjoy an ongoing relationship with Response Safety Netting Ltd in central urban works.

As nationwide suppliers of fall arrest bags, both the inflatable and filled systems, Response Safety Netting registered their concern over regulation of these systems with the FASET Board in 2008. Based on a Research Paper the HSE commissioned through Glasgow Caledonian University in 2005 this vision for a regulatory body, such as FASET, to take the bags under their umbrella has seemed a long time coming. In 2009 Response Safety Netting has been asked to lead a working group on the introduction of fall arrest bags to the FASET mandate. We will concentrate no manufacturing standards and installation techniques in particular.

MD of Response Safety Netting Ltd was invited to take part as a key note speaker at the 2008 SEMA Safety Conference and Exhibition titled ‘Safety in the Storage Industry’.. Doug spoke on the selection and use of fall arrest equipment in the mezzanine and storage industry.

Nicholas and Harris bakery maintained a 24 hour production rate as supplier to Asda stores whilst
having their asbestos roof replaced in summer 2008.
Response Safety Netting Ltd were able to offer a complete airtight solution to fall arrest and debris whilst working around ovens and machinery. This successful work in the hygiene industry serves as a basis for netting to be accepted as a viable option in a sterile environment in the future.

At the end of 2008 Doug Heming MD of Response Safety Netting was elected to the Governing Board of FASET. FASET is the trade association and training body for the UK and Irish safety net rigging and fall arrest industry. After his work as Chairman of the Marketing Committee in 2008 he continues to believe FASET has an important role in the improvement and regulation of Safety Net Rigging. Our General Manager Nick Hammond continues to hold his position on the Health and Safety Committee of FASET.
